Technical characteristics
The WBE is Galletti’s new range of non-reversible, water-cooled heat pumps designed for producing high-temperature water. This new booster pump from Galletti can operate with low- or medium-temperature sources. The WBE can be installed either indoors or outdoors. The use of R515B refrigerant ensures operational safety while minimising environmental impact. R515B is a Class A1 refrigerant, meaning it is non-flammable and has one of the lowest GWPs on the market, at just 293. The range is characterised by high seasonal efficiency and reduced space requirements in order to facilitate access to technical compartments. Electronic expansion valves are fitted as standard. Both single-circuit and dual-circuit versions are available. The use of top-quality, state-of-the-art components in the cooling, hydraulic and electrical systems makes WBE booster units cutting-edge in terms of efficiency, reliability and operating limits. The WBE range is designed to produce high-temperature water (up to 90 °C) by evaporation using a medium-temperature heat source (typically 45 °C). This makes it ideal for use in conjunction with air-cooled heat pumps in a cascade configuration. Furthermore, thanks to its wide operating range on the source side, it can also operate at very low temperatures (down to 5 °C), independently providing the full thermal differential required by the system. The series' high degree of configurability, inherent in Galletti's DNA, is ensured by two different versions – one with closing panels and one without – and three different acoustic configurations: standard, low noise and super low noise, capable of reducing the sound power level by up to 6 dB(A). Lastly, the advanced microprocessor that controls the unit’s operation allows for the control of up to two utility-side pumps and two source-side pumps, either on/off or modulating, as well as the cascading connection of up to six units
