PLN is the new Galletti range of air-cooled packaged chillers and heat pumps for outdoor installation equipped with multi-scroll solutions and characterised by the use of R290 refrigerant. R290 (Propane) is a natural refrigerant capable of guaranteeing one of the lowest GWPs on the market, equal to only 3. This GWP value ensures the PLN range complies with the gradual reduction of emissions due to the use of greenhouse gases emissions required by the F-GAS regulation.

Not only that, the use of finned coils with reduced diameters (micro-channels) for the passage of the refrigerant allows a reduction of the refrigerant charge by more than 50% compared to similar products with same capacity but with standard technology.

The range consists of 7 models with cooling capacities from 50 to 150 kW, available as cooling only and reversible heat pump mode. Using solutions with multiple compressors on the same circuit, in addition to adjusting the power output to the actual thermal load, optimizes performance during partial load operation. This allows for achieving seasonal efficiency ratings among the highest in the HVAC market: SCOP up to 4.00 and SEER up to 5.00.

The use of top quality components at the cutting edge of technology in the cooling, hydraulic, and electrical systems makes PLN chillers state of the art in terms of efficiency, reliability, and operating limits. In fact, the ability to produce water from -10°C to 75°C, and full load operation with external air from -20°C to 48°C. With outside air temperatures of -20°C, the production of hot water at 45°C is still possible.

The range allows high configurability from an acoustic and hydraulic point of view, having ample accessories designed to meet installation needs characterized by reduced overall dimensions: without increasing the size it is possible to provide on board the storage tank and up to a maximum of two hydraulic pumps, as well as a flow meter for continuous monitoring of the power produced.

Advanced control, which is always provided across the entire range, allows continuous monitoring of operating parameters, advanced regulation logics, and connectivity and the management of advanced procedures for making the unit safe in the event of refrigerant leaks (A3)
